About Us
The Sundon Park Centre Trust, a registered Charity, was formed in 2002 by a group of Sundon Park residents.
The team, dedicated to providing Sundon Park with a community centre opened a small centre in 2002, in partnership with Luton Borough Council. Located in between Lealands High School and the Sundon Park Parade Shops it is readily accessible for all residents.
Such was the demand for the facilities provided by the community centre, that space soon became an issue and in 2005 an extension was carried out.
Since 2005 the centre has maintained a steady membership and provided a good community service, organising day trips and events, regular "club" meetings and the hire of the hall to various external organisations and the general public as a facility hire, seven days per week.
In the Summer of 2008 it was decided that the charity's image, perceived by many as "an old persons day centre", could do with a fresh look and as such a re-branding exercise was agreed by the board of directors.
The new image was a way to kick start a fresh approach to the way the centre was managed and the facilities it provided to all age groups.
We are working hard to fulfil our goals for 2009 and we look forward to continued support from our members, residents, supporting groups and Luton Borough Council, to achieving our aim.
